Why Yvette? Why would you want your own logo? My reply, in english, “Why not?” and in Afrikaans, “Vir wat kan ek nie?” LOL
On a serious note though, I do believe that each one of represent a brand, and in my little way I am establishing my own individuality, my own space, my own little ‘nook’ in the world.
Let me break down the logo for you. There are 4 elements to it:
- Colour scheme- warm, earthy tones have always been where I find comfort. I’m a child of the earth after all. I like the funky design and patterns too.
- Afro lady- My hair, naturally 😉 This image is bold and solid. Who I am.
- Starfish in her hair- I have a starfish tattoo for those who didn’t know this, and a clever graphic designer stole the tattoo from one of my pics on FB. He is talented, clever and sneaky. So this logo really has a part of me, so to speak.
- The name: Miss Y- This is my alias. I sign all my blog post with it, as it is almost like my signature. This name I felt was a bit better than ‘Vixen’… I’m joking. But, I like Miss Y. It would be a cool stage name if I became a really COOL emcee! Oh yes and I have always been fascinated with the question ‘Why?’, And yeah…. ‘Y’, ‘WHY’. Make sense?
So yeah. This is me. A symbol of who I am.
#EmBOSSed. <—-just came up with that. Hope it’s original. 😉
P.S Kapeesh Manilal did the logo for me. He got his own organize, catch him on : PunkRockerDesigns@gmail.com. Very good prices, of course 😉
